Indonesia
The vast archipelago of Indonesia consists of more than 17,500 islands, of which only two thirds are inhabited. Traveling from hectic modern cities to sleepy and friendly seaside towns to villages suspended in the Stone Age, you will find that Indonesia is a wild and rich cultural experience. The lush jungles of Kalimantan, Papua and Sumatra are home to orangutans, monkeys, leopards and many exotic and endangered animals. The clear blue waters surrounding the islands offer an extraordinary variety of diving – combined with an extraordinary selection of first-class liveaboards and dive resorts.
Indonesia DivingCruising around Bali, Flores and Komodo, the live aboard Komodo Dancer moves from the gracious island of Bali to the wilderness of Flores and beyond to Komodo, where the giant komodo dragons or monitor lizards rule. Located on Komodo waters, the live aboard Siren will concentrate in the area’s excellent diving and cut down transfer times. The Pindito takes in the best seasons in a variety of locations, concentrating mainly in the untamed Raja Ampat, the colorful Banda Sea and Komodo locations. The Ocean Rover and Dewi Nusantara do the same and dive mainly in the North Sulawesi and Raja Ampat waters. The Pelagian dives around Wakatobi Dive Resort. The new luxury liveaboards Damai, Tambora, Amira, WAOW and Arenui have a variety of destinations. In addition to the regular schedules, many of the liveaboards do exploratory cruises around uncharted diving areas, making the decision even harder – but we know Indonesia thoroughly and are happy to match you with the best possible boat or dive resort.
