Rio Sagrado
Kibale Lodge comprises eight bandas, plus spa and pool.This new lodge offers four bandas will opening soon and four more by the end of the 2024. The lodge is built in the renowned Volcanoes handmade style by an in-house design and build team of African artisans.
Kibale Lodge sits on a ridge with stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains towards the west and the Queen Elizabeth plains and the Kazinga channel to the south. The 150 acre site is surrounded by lush homesteads on the rolling hills around Fort Portal, known for its warm and welcoming climate.
Kibale Lodge is an hour’s drive from the Kasese airstrip, from which there are daily flights to and from Entebbe. Kibale Forest, the base for chimpanzee trekking, is a thirty-minute drive from the lodge. (VOLsafaris)
Bandas
There are 8 unique hand-built luxury bandas (6 deluxe and 2 standard). 4 bandas. Each banda has a private terrace overlooking the Rwenzori Mountains or the rolling hills of the Fort Portal area.. All bandas have en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilet, double vanity and indoor and outdoor shower with hot & cold running water. Personal butler service for all guests.
Kibale Forest Spa has two double massage rooms, sauna and swimming pool. All massages are complimentary and subject to booking and availability. Full board accommodation including all soft drinks and regular and premium alcoholic beverages including signature cocktails, single malt whiskies and cellar collection wines (except French champagne). Complimentary laundry service. Power sockets/charging facilities and hair dryer in the rooms. Fans are provided but no air conditioners.
Trek chimpanzees in Kibale Forest – the Primate Capital of the World – with a large community of over 1500 chimpanzees. Guests can also join the chimpanzee habituation program and spend 4 hours with a chimp group as part of the habituation process.
