Rio Sagrado
Deep in Peru’s Sacred Valley, Rio Sagrado offers an unparalleled connection with nature. Set on the banks of the Urubamba River, all rooms feature river views and radiate Andean charm. Exquisite cuisine features organic produce from the hotel gardens. At a lower altitude than Cusco, it’s the perfect place to acclimatize before visiting Machu Picchu.
At the end of a glorious day exploring the Sacred Valley, there´s no more welcoming sight and sound than the glowing fire that greets you on the terrace of El Huerto restaurant. Our expert chefs lovingly prepare Peruvian cuisine with signature twists using organic produce from our garden as part of a cookery class; guests can even handpick ingredients for their meals. Epicureans may also visit Urubamba´s lively morning market with the chef to prepare dishes during a cookery lesson. The beautiful wood-and-stone El Huerto Bar is a serene spot for the barman´s weekly Pisco tasting or an early evening cocktail. On Friday nights the garden terrace sizzles with a barbecue.
