THE WILDLIFE EXPERIENCE: The Northern Conservancies host over 70 species of mammals including some of the world’s rarest animals, such as, white rhino (at the Rhino Sanctuary on the edge of the Kileleoni Hill), wild dog, leopard, cheetah and lion. For keen ornithologists, Enonkishu is home to over 350 species of birds. Enonkishu is also host to a working cattle ranch. The Maasai Mara is acknowledged as one of the most important areas for biodiversity in Africa, where the diversity of wildlife is higher than in any other part in Africa. Each group has their own private guide and safari vehicle, enabling guests to plan their safari itinerary to suit the flow of their day. 

MORNING SAFARI: Explore the conservancies in the Northern Mara, departing just before sunrise with a picnic breakfast to be back at the lodge by lunch.

AFTERNOON SAFARI: After tea and snacks, head out on a game drive, with a sundowner stop on the plains or on the edge of the hill, to be back in time for supper.

GUIDES: All the guides are all from the area and have been trained by Eco Training. They are part of our family, and their main aim is to make your time on safari memorable.

FUTURES IN THE WILD TOUR: Visit the Mara Training Centre founded by Tarquin and Lippa Woo; a hub of creativity, storytelling, teaching and sharing. Where you can learn about rangeland management and efforts to work with local communities to restore and maintain the natural environment. Meet the team behind Women in the Wild, who you may find beading, soap making, candle making or planting seedlings. Play a game of biodiversity jenga in the Mara Training Centre and learn about the Wild Story and how we got to where we are now...

BEADING: Spend the morning beading with an expert beader from the community or drive down to the Mara Training Centre and learn to bead in this interactive space where guests get to learn more about Women in the wild and the women empowerment projects.

THE WILD SHAMBA: We grow our own produce in our lovely one acre vegetable garden, known in Swahili as a shamba.

TREE PLANTING: Meet the women who run the Trees in the Wild nursery and plant a tree.

STRETCH YOUR LEGS: Go for a walk with the rangers, along the ridge of the hill, visit the ancient petroglyph bao game carved into the rocks. Guest can also go on a guided walk down to the rhino sanctuary.

VISIT THE CATTLE BOMAS: Visit the Cattle Bomas - and learn about the predator proof bomas and how the herders manage the livestock in a regenerative grazing plan. SUNDOWNERS: Go for a sundowner walk along the ridge of the hill, or spend the evening watching the sunset by the firepit or on the rooftop deck.

VISIT THE RHINO SANCTUARY: Fancy a selfie with a rhino? Walk with the rhino, while being protected by armed rangers.

WARRIOR GAMES: Enjoy the Maasai warrior games, where guest can take part in archery, rungu throwing and jumping with the Maasai.

WILD CUISINE: The menus are inspired by the finest, freshest ingredients we are able to source locally and sustainably. Most of our salads and vegetables are grown here in the Wild Shamba. We also support farmers who grow their produce ethically and try to limit packaging by buying direct from farms.

SCENIC HELICOPTER FLIGHTS: For ultimate freedom, guests can have a helicopter on standby for the day, with which they can fly over the flamingoes in Lake Magadi, land for a picnic by a waterfall in the Loita forest, or fly down to the Mara and have our guide and car meet you for a drive around the plains.

GUIDED FORAGING WALK: A walk alongside a guide, stepping lightly and exploring the beautiful wild and medicinal plants along the path. Watch giraffe, zebra and impala graze. Walk to an ancient petroglyph carved into the rocks and connect with Africa. Climb our very own version of Pride Rock and watch colobus monkeys in the forests below. Walk down to the rhino sanctuary for a private session learning about conservation efforts.

ELEVATED WELLNESS: Lounge by the spa overlooking the waterhole, in perfect peace and privacy. Immerse yourself in our sauna or in the chilled waters of the plunge pool to invigorate both body and mind. Indulge in the restorative treatments on offer in our private therapy rooms. PLAY A GAME OF PICKLE BALL: Guests can enjoy a game of pickle ball on the court close to the gym.
