The River Station

Kyambura Game Reserve is separated from Queen Elizabeth National Park by the gorgeous Kyambura Gorge and the Kazinga Channel. The River Station is the only lodge operating in this newly appointed Low-Use Zone, we have unfettered access to this unexplored wilderness. Underground rainforests, volcanic crater lakes, open savannahs, dense scrubland and pockets of marshy wetlands all in one place… and all to ourselves. The River Station is the grander and more opulent sister to the understated Honey Bear Bush Camp. Picture her as that one friend that shows up a little overdressed to dinner, and always ends up being the life of the party. A grand main lodge overlooks a hippo-filled bay frequented by huge herds of elephant, buffalo and more. Tall Dutch gables and an enormous wrap-around deck give a grand silhouette. The dining room, bar and lounge area are filled with colorful textiles and beautifully eclectic art, bringing unique character and a dash of color to this not-so-classic tented Safari Lodge.
* Opening in Sep 2024 - more info/photos coming then!
