Mantamae
Launched in 2014, the Mantamae is a 31-meter Phinisi ironwood schooner. This fun luxury yacht is designed for the spirited few with a song in their hearts, curious minds and a passion for cruising some of the most extraordinary places on the planet. With its two masts, elegant bowsprit and seven-sail rigging, the Mantamae evokes the romance of a bygone age, where Bugis and Makassan seafarers plied the shallow waters of the ‘East Indies’ on traditional Phinisi vessels laden with valuable spices. This vessel is ideal for fun friends and family to charter.
Mantamae accommodates 8-12 guests in a sumptuous master cabin, two staterooms, and a bunk bed cabin with two beds. The air-conditioned mid-ship salon has a bar and seating area. Above deck are areas designed for alfresco dining, relaxing and sunbathing.
The vessel cruises Komodo (May-Sep), then heads to the Banda Sea (Oct/Nov) and moves to Raja Ampat (Dec-Apr).
MAIN DECK - Forward of the salon and shaded from the sun, the deck is the social hub for life aboard Mantamae whether under sail or at anchor under the stars. Here, guests gather round the table to enjoy al fresco dining and breezy siestas, and to make plans for the next adventure. The large sofas around the dining table can be converted to super-size sun pads to make full use of this breezy shaded area. Towards the stern is the galley, fridges and freezers, crew dining room, more crew cabins and equipment storage areas.
THE SALON is furnished with a bar and sofas as well as two dining tables designed to seat twelve people comfortably. Here, you will find you everything you need for relaxation away from the sun: plasma TV, Mac computer, HiFi mixer Traktor4, Wifi, coffee corner, wine coolers, ice maker and fridge.
MARYLIN CABIN on the main deck provides two bunk beds and private bathroom. The cabin is equipped with air conditioning, TV and safety box. An additional shower enclosure, beautifully lined with labradorite, is positioned by the steps for ease of use after swimming or diving.
UPPER DECK - Extending forward of the pilot-house, the upper deck is dedicated to inactivity, and hence furnished with over-sized sunbeds and hammocks. Here guests will delight in the sheer pleasure of doing nothing other’deck plan’ than turn the pages of a book, sleep, chat, contemplate the joys of living the dream, or take in the spectacular scenery of eastern Indonesia. At the very rear of the top deck is the tender deck.
LOWER DECK - Accessed via a stairway in the salon, the lower deck is Mantamae’s main cabin area. A corridor running down the center of the vessel leads to Dita, the 23sqm master suite with 10 portholes, and the two staterooms Sophia and Brigitte, each with four portholes.
DITA master suite of 23 sqm King size bed with fully equipped private bathroom, with ten large portholes. The suite has its own lounging are here you can enjoy your privacy and relaxation on a large corner sofa that can be also used for a 3rd & 4th person bed. The room is equipped with air conditioning, safety box, desk, large storage space, LED lightning, Wi-Fi, Flat Screen TV with individual entertainment system
SOPHIA and BRIGITTE spectacular Queen size bedrooms have one additional single bed and private bathroom. These rooms have 4 portholes and they are also fully equipped with air conditioning, safety box, desk, storage space, LED lightning, Wi-Fi and Flat Screen TV with individual entertainment system.

Every day unveils new enchantments – diving with manta rays in the world’s most species-rich seas, snorkeling among spectacular coral gardens, water-skiing in the calm of a lagoon, beach-combing on a deserted island, bargaining for an heirloom ikat textile in an isolated weaving village, visiting a 500-year-old fort in the famed spice islands. Mantamae is very well equipped and your charter fee includes all diving and water-sports and many land excursions.
DIVING
Indonesia’s eastern archipelago is renowned for its spectacular marine bio-diversity, and the most sought-after, species-rich dive spots on the planet, the Coral Triangle. Mantamae is fully equipped for scuba diving, with dedicated RIB dive tenders, compressors, Nitrox, tanks, and a full set of gear for each guest – wetsuit, BCD, fins, mask, snorkel, weight belt. Our cruise director knows the waters intimately and takes pleasure in guiding guests to his favorite, little known and newly discovered sites.
WATERSPORTS
Not everyone is into diving, so Mantamae has a variety of water toys for those who prefer to keep above water! Slice through the sea in our sleek kayaks, or raise your adrenalin levels with water-skiing. Water-skiing and wakeboarding are also popular pursuits, particularly in calm lagoon waters and snorkelling is a breeze when you’ve a sea scooter to propel you through the crystal clear waters. Outside protected marine parks, guests may like to fish.
LAND EXCURSIONS
Whether your interest is culture, history, ecology or wildlife, Indonesia’s eastern archipelago presents an amazing range of land-based experienced, including those only reached by sea. Meet colorful tribes in Papua, traditional weaving villages in Flores, and the famed whale hunters of Alor. Visit historic forts, colonial landmarks and pearl farms in the Bandas. Spot Birds of Paradise, Hornbills and Flying Foxes in Raja Ampat, and get close to the pre-historic dragons of Komodo.
