The Caribbean and fine dining is rarely a match to be seen. Here at Calala Island, we take our food seriously and our chefs are constantly pushing the boundaries to deliver sensational dining experiences. Whether it’s a causal, pool-side Lobster Brioche burger or our formal evening tasting menus under the moonlight, dining at Calala Island is an experience you won’t forget.

Whether you’re the “adventure-seeking” type, the “chill-out” type, or the “party-loving” type, we’re a private island that will cater for you...because we’ll tailor to you.

The beachfront suites are adorned with authentic Caribbean-inspired furnishings and offer direct access to the pristine beach. Each room, whether a cozy Junior Suite or a spacious Master Suite, features a semi al fresco rain shower, a large sundeck for sunbathing, and modern amenities.

Each of the six suites were carefully designed with you in mind. Lying directly alongside the beach, each suite perfectly marries you with your surroundings. Complete privacy is standard. Each beachfront suite has its own private verandah and secluded beachfront palapa.

At Calala Lodge, you can enjoy a variety of activities including water sports like surfing, snorkeling, and kayaking, as well as land-based adventures such as ziplining, horseback riding, and hiking to waterfalls. The lodge also offers relaxing options like yoga and massages on an oceanside deck, and opportunities for wildlife viewing, particularly for birds and monkeys. Other activities include fishing, rum tastings, and enjoying the pool.

The Calala Foundation
At Calala Island, we believe passionately in the untouched beauty of the land and people of the NiCaribbean. Promoting conservation, uplifting local communities and protecting the environment are at the very heart of the Foundation. Established as a privately funded foundation by Tim and Sarah Wickham, at least 10% of our annual suite inventory is sold through larger, public charitable organizations.
