Mimpi Tulamben
Newly reopened after a lovely renovation, Mimpi Tulamben Dive Resort & Spa is located at the foot of the imposing Mount Agung. Set among lush tropical gardens, the resort faces the ocean and a black pebble beach. Mimpi offers a variety of beachfront and garden accommodations, an outdoor pool, open air restaurant, dive center, relaxing spa with yoga and free Wi-Fi. For divers, Mimpi is close to the famous USAT Liberty wreck and a haven for those of us who like to find crazy critters in the muck.
There are 30 cozy and bright air-conditioned rooms and bungalows featuring modern Indonesian interiors with plenty of natural light. Each is equipped with a seating area, mini-bar and bathrooms with showers.
You may join snorkeling and diving trips or simply enjoy a traditional body massage. With a 24-hr front desk reception, the resort provides car rental services and tour bookings for local sites and activities including biking and walking trips, temple tours and cooking classes.
Surrounded by coconut trees, the polished rooms and villas feature free Wi-Fi, minibars, mosquito nets and TVs, as well as patios with gazebos. All also come with open-air showers. Some of the thatched-roof villas have ocean views.There are a total of 30 Balinese style rooms and cottages spread around the property. Patio rooms offer twin or king size bed configurations and terraces. Ocean or garden view Courtyard rooms offer more living space and feature a flat-screen TV, seating area and a private garden. The bathroom features an open-air shower accessible through the garden.
Bali Dive Quest
Liberty ship wreck is a must dive for any diver heading to Bali. This wreck is a fantastic playground to explore for divers of levels and snorkelers. If you are a beginner, this is a unique opportunity to scuba dive a world class wreck dive site on the more shallow part of the ship. If you are an experienced diver, you can go further to the deeper part of the wreck around and perhaps see the wonderful bow gun covered with coral. For macro lovers, you can also find the rare pygmy seahorse in the area. All over the wreck you will spot schooling fishes, trevallies and barracudas looking for their next meal and black tip Reef Sharks patrolling the area. On the sandy part, watch the garden Eels dance and try to spot the giant Sweetlips who hang here.
The Wall, coral gardens and muck diving in this region are also superb for divers and snorkelers to explore.
