Chobe River Lodge
Honey Bear Bush Camp is full of character - chic, elegant and sassy - and it revives the pared-back romance of the classic safari experience. At last, a small and intimate camp within the national park boundaries of Queen Elizabeth Park.
A lot of thought went into creating this enchanting camp: on the south bank of the Kazinga Channel in the Kyambura Game Reserve, each of Honey Bear’s 5 beautifully appointed tents is set up to take in the views of the channel. You’ll wake up to hippos splashing in the water, or better yet, herds of elephants coming down to swim.
There’s a large, airy mess tent with a dining area and sitting room. Honey Bear is currently the only camp inside the entire reserve and is accessible by boat – privacy and exclusivity are second to none, and the magic of the bush is truly celebrated.
This intimate camp consists of 5 riverfront luxury tents with ensuite bathrooms.
Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP, or Queens) is Uganda's most visited national park and is often paired with Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and/or Chimp trekking in Kibale Forest. The park is famous for its big cats, including tree-climbing lions and leopards. Game drives in will reveal the parks range of big game including elephants, buffalos, antelopes and warthogs.
Boat safaris take you across the Kazinga Channel that links Lakes Edward and George. Here you'll find buffalo and elephant coming down to the shore, pelicans rafting together in the sunshine, and plenty of hippos.
There are over 600 species of recorded birds in Queens, and you can even pair a game drive or boat safari with chimp trekking in the mystical forests of Kyambura Gorge.
