Alor Tanapi

Alor Tanapi is a newly built dive resort opening in 2023 located on the island of Alor in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The resort offers a haven for divers seeking unforgettable experiences. With pristine waters and a rich marine ecosystem, Alor has long been hailed as a hidden gem in the diving world.

The resort is situated approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the main town of Kalabahi. After several years of scuba diving all around Indonesia, the owners decided to settle in Alor as they feel it offers an exceptional variety of dive sites. With its unique combination of coral reefs, pelagics and muck diving, Alor has something for everyone.

This Alor dive resort offers comfortable accommodation,  freshly prepared meals, high-quality diving facilities and equipment, ensuring couples and small groups can experience a complete dive vacation in a remote setting. The resort itself is located on a hill in Sebanjar, on the Bird’s Head Peninsula, overlooking Pantar, Pura and Ternate islands. Strategically located between the main road and the Pantar Strait, they are able to offer a number of land tours in addition to having direct access to over 40 different world-class dive sites within 30-45 minutes by speedboat.

The 3 ocean-view bungalows have a king-size bed, a private spacious balcony, and the open-air bathrooms feature an outdoor shower with hot water, a western-style sink and western-style toilet. The bungalows are air-conditioned and there is a fan in each room.

Located in the heart of the coral triangle, Alor diving is renowned for its great visibility, stunning coral reefs, pelagic encounters and small bizarre critter hunting in the muck sites. From the resort, you can dive Alor and explore its underwater beauty. There are more than 40 dive sites within a 30-minute radius by boat that can be reached from the resort. It is also possible to do day trips to some dive sites located in Beang Abang which offer some great muck diving, a highlight for underwater macro photographers. The resort recommend a minimum stay of one to two weeks to be able to cover the range of dive sites.
