Green Safaris is the only company in Zambia that offers Silent Safaris, which we champion through green technology like electric boats, bikes and game drive vehicles. Their 8 properties in Zambia and Malawi offer an authentic experience for you and those you meet along the way. Each property supports at least one conservation or environment initiative and one community project. This suggested itinerary can be modified and expanded to suit your travel needs.
Days 1-4: South Luangwa (Shawa)
The love for the Zambian wilderness meant that bringing Silent Safaris to one of its most iconic wildlife sanctuaries, the South Luangwa, was always written in the stars for us.
Shawa Luangwa Camp is a small, eco-friendly bush camp overlooking the Luangwa River in the Nsefu Sector. This is one of the park’s most untouched areas where excellent year-round game viewing and astonishing habitat diversity make it ideal for safaris by foot and vehicle.
Shawa Luangwa is as much about its people as the wilderness surrounding it. We named the camp after legendary Zambian safari guide Jacob Shawa, who has been such an inspiration for the team and the Luangwa community.
Days 4-7: Lower Zambezi (Sausage Tree or Potato Bush Camp)
The pinnacle of bush chic, Sausage Tree Camp was established in 1996 as Zambia’s most luxurious bush camp. It is still one of the few camps in Africa that guarantees private guiding. Sausage Tree Camp was voted number one on the BBC Holiday Program’s “Ten Best Luxury Destinations”. Our location within the Lower Zambezi National Park allows our team to offer truly immersive safari experiences, not only on land by four-wheel game-viewing vehicles, but also on foot and even by boat or canoe. And with expert private guides and “Muchindas” (butlers) to see to your every need, you can be assured of world-class service. Sausage Tree OR

Potato Bush Camp is undoubtedly the best value-for-experience safari destination in the Lower Zambezi. The camp comprises only three suites and one family house, and all rooms are connected via raised walkways, making this an ideal safari lodge to book exclusively. We also guarantee private guiding on land and water and free transfer flights with every four-night stay.
The highly trained team, spacious tent rooms with private plunge pools, and seemingly endless list of activities make this riverfront camp a favorite for family safari holidays. Yet this local favorite keeps much of its original bush feel, which is elevated by the wildlife that wanders freely through the camp.
Days 7-10: Victoria Falls (Tongabezi)
This award winning eco-lodge in Zambia leans into the tranquillity of its hidden location on the banks of the Zambezi River. Combine romance and luxury with a hint of adventure as you relax just 12km upstream of Victoria Falls. The joyous team welcome guests to a selection of Houses and Cottages, each embellished with interiors lovingly chosen from around Africa. Immerse yourself in nature and experience unique dining and river activities.
