Suzee in Peru

I loved this trip to Peru. It was the perfect balance between organized tours and free time to wander on our own. And of course I couldn’t have asked for better travel companions.

Lima was not so interesting, which was a bit sad. One day in Lima seems to be more than enough, although I really liked our chocolate making experience.

Cuzco and Machu Picchu were as wonderful as I imagined. Ray, our tour guide was perfect for our group. He understood our interests, he pretty much knew when we were tired and done and he thoroughly got our sense of humor. I would recommend him highly to anyone who wants to take this trip.

Our hotels were overall very nice. Would probably not recommend Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel. I loved our horseback ride. I am glad that Ray updated our itinerary for the Sacred Valley so we didn’t have such a long day as was originally planned.

Overall, this was a fantastic trip. Well organized, perfect pace for our group and just a whole lot of fun! Suzee B (Peru Nov 2025)
