We are excited to introduce Wilderness Etosha, a new eight-suite camp in the Hobatere Concession on the western boundary of Etosha National Park. Beyond the salt pans of Etosha lies a wilder, less-explored side of the ecosystem – where rugged mountains, dry riverbeds and natural springs create a vital passage for wildlife moving across north-western Namibia. New eight-suite camp in the Hobatere Concession on the western boundary of Etosha National Park. Wilderness Etosha will offer a rare opportunity to experience this landscape – and to understand the wildlife, research and conservation that make it so important.
Key species recorded include elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, brown hyena, spotted hyena, giraffe, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, endemic black-faced impala, kudu and oryx. Elephant, predator and herbivore movements all contribute to the dynamic nature of the concession and the wider Etosha ecosystem.
