Kayaking/Canoeing/Snorkeling
The canoes and kayaks are located in front of the main Lodge near the main billabong. The Billabong, just past River Treehouse 14 is excellent for snorkeling and is home to freshwater turtles, eels, Jungle Perch as well as shy resident platypus. The river in front of the main Lodge is also suited for snorkeling and guests should wear fins for swimming against the current.
Kuku Yalangi Dreamtime
Journey into the lush rainforest of Mossman Gorge and experience the wonders of the Daintree Rainforest while getting lost in its enchanting stories. Take afternoon tea on the Jungle Perch high above the river. At the end of each day dine on the freshest of local produce and fine wine.
Ultimate Silky Indulgence
Together with experienced guides, guests will cross the Daintree River and explore pristine ancient rain forests, Cape Tribulation, walk at Miall Beach or go crocodile and bird spotting on the Daintree River. Enjoy an Australian BBQ lunch beside a secluded forest billabong. The coastline flight sets the scene with rivers and creeks that are fed from more ancient times and the imposing Mossman Gorge gives way to the Jurassic Park waterfall. Swim and experience the pristine waters of the fall before heading back to the lodge.
Silky Explorer
Enjoy the Deep Forest walk into Mossman Gorge and its ancient, living landscape and be guided along a magical trail to a part of the Gorge few get to see. Join the Kubirri Walker brothers at Cooya Beach (Kuyu Kuyu). This special place is a traditional fishing ground of the Kuku Yalanji Bama. It has three diverse ecosystems, beach, mangroves and coastal reef that are connected to each other by the ever changing mudflats and tidal lagoons. Back at the lodge, relax with a Healing Waters spa treatment.
Yoga
Scheduled yoga classes are held in the Pavilion or Riverside. Enjoy an authentic spiritual yoga experience in the natural tropical rain forest setting. The instructor Erin is knowledgeable and helpful. Prior bookings are advised.
