Raimiti is an exclusive, remote guesthouse located on Motu Tetapiri in the southern part of the Fakarava Atoll in French Polynesia. It offers nine off-the-grid, traditional Tahitian bungalows with inclusive meal plans and access to the Anata Fakarava Diving center.
The property offers a completely unplugged "Robinson Crusoe" experience, completely separated from the main village. All meals are freshly prepared and served in a Polynesian-style restaurant with a sea-view bar, featuring locally caught fish. Guests have free use of kayaks and snorkeling gear to explore the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It is located just 20 minutes by boat from the world-renowned Tumakohua (South) Pass.
Raimiti is located on the opposite side of Fakarava from the airport. There is no road and the only way to reach the site is to take our “kau” boat from the airport or village.
During the 1 hour 30 minute trip inside the lagoon, you will feel yourself beginning to forget the “world” that you know as you are transported to an enchanting world. We follow the coast past the motu islets, beaches, coconut forests, and coral reefs. You will notice that the further we get from the village, the more untamed the scenery becomes.
Finally, we reach a pier seemingly in the middle of nowhere. This is where Raimiti is hidden, between the lagoon and ocean, in the midst of a big coconut plantation.
It became a reality due to a common vision. The brainpower was put to a hard test, along with buckets of sweat and much advice given by the elders of the island. There was also a lot of perseverance, self-sacrifice and an infinite dose of optimism!

These bungalows are very well ventilated naturally; you will appreciate the ocean breeze that cools you while you sleep. Light from the hurricane lamp and candle will bring magic to the tropical night.

Scuba Diving + Snorkeling
The Atoll of Fakarava in French Polynesia has been designated as an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve for the preservation of rare species. For the divers it offers an abundance great under-water treasures. The south pass is accessible to all level of divers, thanks the mild conditions of the currents and depth in the pass. While diving, you discover a profusion of live, the vibrant colors of the living corals, the uncountable Napoleon Wrasses to large schools of grey reef sharks calling the pass their home.
The dives spots at the South Pass of Tetamanu, called Tumakohua, are located about 20 minutes by boat from RAIMITI.
