Bamurru Plains
Family friendly Onguma Bush Camp offers 18 rooms in an old world safari style atmosphere. Family loft rooms ensure the kids will have a great safari. The lounge and dining areas overlook a stunning waterhole that affords great opportunities to see nature at play around the clock. You don’t even have to leave the camp to see game – they come to you. What better place to enjoy a sundowner drink.
Onguma Bush Camp consists of 3 twin bedded standard loft rooms with a children’s sleep area in the loft, 8 twin bedded Deluxe Rooms, 3 Rondavels, 3 family units with 4 beds, 1 Settler’s Room (formerly the honeymoon suite) as well as 4 single tour guide rooms.
The Waterhole/Pool-Side Rooms are built with views of the newly enlarged waterhole or views across the pool.Mosquito nets. Dinner is served in the dinning area overlooking a large waterhole. Here you will be treated to an excellent combination of European and traditional African cuisine while watching the game coming to drink.
Settler's Room
Formerly known as the honeymoon suite, this room is larger than the other rooms and has a small sitting area.
Deluxe Rooms
These twin bedded Waterhole or Pool side rooms have stunning views over the surrounding bush. Each room has a large en-suite bathroom and small patio from which to admire the view.
Standard / Loft Room
Standard/ Loft rooms offer ensuite bathrooms, twin beds and a small patio overlooking the gardens, with extra loft beds for children.
Rondavels
The three rondawels are part of the original lodge buildings and are built in the traditional circular style with thatched rooves. They offer ensuite bathrooms, twin beds and a small patio overlooking the gardens.
Family unit
The 1 Family Unit has two inter-leading bedrooms each with its own en-suite bathroom.
Children on Safari

Onkolo Hide
Onguma's fabulous new water-level hide affords guests a great opportunity to calmly sit and enjoy nature unobserved. Amateur and professional photographers alike love the angles and light from this equipped hide. There is a small ablution facility nearby, benches from which to view the surroundings and lots of windows and vantage points for creative camera angles.
Onguma Sundowner Drive
Onguma Nature Reserve consists of 34 000 hectares of Namibian wilderness & is home to numerous plains game, more than 300 bird species and even 4 of the Big 5. The Reserve boasts over thirty different animal species. Plains game roam freely on the Reserve and predators although not always easy to spot, are nevertheless common residents of the area. Lions and Cheetahs are frequently seen and often heard. There is a healthy black rhino and leopard population and hyenas are also often seen and heard.
Etosha Game Drives
Etosha is a 22 750km² wildlife sanctuary in Namibia – one of Africa’s most stable and accessible countries. Etosha, meaning ‘place of dry water’, and refers to a flat calcrete depression (or pan) of about 5 000km². The ‘Pan’ (overlooked by the Onguma Reserve) provides a great, parched, silver-white backdrop of shimmering mirages to an area of semi-arid savannah grassland and thorn scrub. The pan itself contains water only after very good rains and sometimes for only a few days each year, but is enough to stimulate the growth of a blue-green algae which lures thousands of flamingos

Dream Cruiser - Overnight Option
Onguma's private reserve bordering Etosha National Park in Namibia already has a lot to boast - 84,000 acres of stunning wilderness, great game viewing, romance, tranquility, adventure, and exceptional accommodations. The Dream Cruiser is now added to the list as Onguma's newest and most exciting addition. This is the perfect experience for guests looking for a unique adventure, a romantic night in the wilderness of the reserve, or who want to be as close to nature as possible.
The Dream Cruiser is a custom built Land Cruiser with two levels that sleeps two people. The spacious sleep-out deck features a bed and lounge area with unbeatable views. The bed offers the opportunity to either have a roof with 180-degree views, or to sleep under the vast and awe inspiring starry Namibian night skies.
The inside of the vehicle has been modified to feature a full ensuite bathroom complete with a shower, flush toilet, and basin. Guests conveniently access the ensuite bathroom from the sleep-out deck by a custom hatch with ladder leading down into the surprisingly spacious and efficient bathroom.
Guests will book this experience in conjunction with a lodge of their choice and pack an overnight bag with the essentials. After a leisurely drive through Onguma's wilderness guests will arrive at a perfectly chosen location with spectacular waterhole views where the Dream Cruiser awaits. Welcomed with sundowner drinks and a brief orientation, guests will settle in to a one of a kind accommodation.
