Medhufushi Island Resort
The beautiful luxury island of Medhufushi is in the stunning Meemu Atoll. With dazzling estates scattered around Medhufushi's peaceful white sands, visitors can decide to unwind by the pool, shore line or on your own private veranda. The resort offers guests the highest standard of service and accommodation in traditionally crafted thatched roof villas with elegantly designed interiors of natural timber. There are a variety of beach villas and beach villa suites scattered around the island. All rooms include a four-poster ling size bed or twin Beds, outdoor rain shower and private outdoor veranda with sun loungers and a Maldivian style swing. The over water villas stretch out into the lagoon with a large private outdoor veranda with steps leading down to the sea.
Dining options at Medhufushi include the Alfresco Restaurant, a beautiful venue located within a pyramid-shaped over-water pavilion. Alfresco offers unbeatable views of the glassy lagoon day and night and is ideal for romantic dinners at sunset. Here you can enjoy a variety of a la carte specialities, wine and other beverages. Malaafaiy Restaurant, named after the Dhivehi word for mermaid, is a more casual poolside restaurant with breath-taking ocean views. This restaurant provides buffet-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners with chefs manning live cooking stations to tailor your meal to your taste. Of course, you may dine in the privacy of your villa or on the beach under the stars.
The Werner Lau Diving Centre team is waiting to amaze you at Medhufushi Island Resort. Scuba diving in Meemu Atoll is hard to beat. While there’s no house reef, there are a host of closeby dive sites in the surrounding area to explore. The majority of the sites are easy to dive because they are protected from very strong currents by the coral formations. Here you can discover stunning coral gardens, reef fish, small sharks and some beautiful macrolife. There’s also a channel dive in the vicinity available for exploration and on the outer reefs, where the current is stronger, you can discover reef sharks, mantas and even occasional whale sharks. You can book from a selection of morning dives, night dives, full-day excursions and half-day excursions and they also have camera hire and underwater scooter hire. If you would like to learn to dive or increase your skills, the attentive team will guide you through a range of courses, from Open Water to Dive Master certificates.
There’s a full range of watersports to choose from if you’re a non-diver plus an outdoor fitness center and pool. You may also indulge at the resort’s spa.
