Magic Oceans Dive Resort

On the fantastic green and quiet island of Bohol you can find Magic Oceans Dive Resort. The resort is located on the east coast in the town of Anda, far away from the busy touristy areas.

This seaside resort is surrounded by a steep rocky wall, jungle and a tropical fruit nursery. The whole area is lush green with swaying palm trees, hibiscus, jasmine and other tropical flowers.

The resort offers you everything you need to make your vacation here magical: a relaxed massage; great cocktails and/or refreshing fresh fruit juices at the bar, the pool or beachfront; a big and fully equipped dive center; hidden relaxation areas at the seaside and a great restaurant with both local dishes and western style food.

There are 16 bungalows where you’ll find modern native style furniture including a king size bed and a day bed which can be used as a sofa or an extra bed when needed. There is a closet that houses a safe for your valuables; a fully stocked mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. The desk has good lighting so it is perfect for those that travel with camera gear or if you need to take five minutes to check in with work. The balconies are big yet cosy with bamboo seats and a towel rack and offer amazing views of sea and land. The energy saving air-conditioning is super-silent.

The bathrooms are spacious with a hot powerful shower. Amenities such as towels, soap, shampoo and a hairdryer are provided. You will find plenty of room to store your toiletries. There is also a basket provided for the in-house laundry service. All rooms have additional towels for the pool and free unlimited mineral water.

Diving
The resort has a fabulous house reef teeming with life that is great for both divers and snorkelers and easy to access directly from the resort. There are 17 kilometers of coastline to explore underwater, with a mix of walls, sandy slopes, Lamanok Island and sandy bottom muck diving to suit all your diving needs. The super-size dive center can comfortably accommodate 35 divers, every diver gets his/her own spot with their name attached which they keep for their whole vacation. You can hang all your gear to dry and have a box for the smaller items. The floor of the dive center is made of pebbles so it not at all slippery. In the wet area there are 3 showers and 5 large rinse tanks for all the dive gear and cameras. We also have a dedicated camera area with electricity, good light and airguns and we will have even more camera tables soon. The options include muck diving, walls covered with healthy corals, sandy slopes, small caves, mangroves and sandy bottoms full of life. The marine life varies from XXS to XXL, pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, schools of fish, a passing whale shark and even an occasional manta.

Other Activities:
When you arrive on the island of Bohol you will be amazed by how lush and green it is. As you drive to the resort along the beautiful coastline it is clear to see that the main industry of the island is farming. You will pass by fields of rice, watermelons, peanuts and bananas to name a few of the crops grown here. You might be lucky enough to get a glimpse of the locals still using the traditional farming methods that have been passed down through generations.

The resort is situated in Anda, known as the “Jewel of Bohol”. Anda is located on a small peninsula on the Eastern tip of Bohol. It is still a hidden gem away from the main touristic areas, even though there is a beautiful untouched white sand beach, amazing view points and outstanding diving. During your stay there are many options for tours you can enjoy to learn more about the locality or the island of Bohol as a whole.

Chocolate Hills Tour
During the day you will visit the Tarsier Sanctuary to catch a glimpse of the world’s smallest primate in its natural habitat, see some of the 1,268 Chocolate Hills from the viewing platform, visit a butterfly farm, enjoy a local buffet lunch and entertainment while floating down the green Loboc River and have the opportunity to see a troop of Macaque monkeys. You will also drive through the Manmade Forest and make a stop at Lake pillar.

Adventure Tour
Adventure Tour includes ziplining across the Loboc River, and back again – or you can take the cable car.  Then you will head down onto the Loboc River for a local buffet lunch and entertainment as you wend you way downriver.  Once refreshed you will get to see the world famous Chocolate Hills but after seeing them from the viewing platform you will head back down and then race around them onboard your own quad bike – or share a dune buggy with a friend.  You will also spend some time with a troop of Macaque monkeys, drive through the Manmade Forest and make a stop at Lake Pillar.

Or course, there is kayaking, trips to neighboring islands, snorkeling, beachcombing and massages at the wonderful on-site spa. Enjoy!
