Lengishu House

Lengishu is a stunning exclusive-use family home on the pioneering Borana Conservancy in Northern Kenya. For varied adventures including tracking rhino on foot – Lengishu has it all! Perched on a ridge with views across the Laikipia plains and deep into the Northern Frontier, Lengishu is made up of a main house, pool house and four separate cottages, creating a private retreat for up to 12 people. Guests have the freedom to choose their own itinerary and are not bound by the constraints of other safari lodges. Activities are in abundance and fully flexible, including private game drives both on land and by air, mountain biking and horse riding through the conservancy, as well as the rare opportunity to help with the conservation efforts by helping to track rhino on foot.

Both Lengishu and Borana Conservancy have sustainability at front of mind - Lengishu is built with locally sourced materials, expertly crafted by local artisans. All the conservation fees paid by Lengishu's guests are invested into the sustainable conservation of land and wildlife notably the endangered black rhino and its habitat. Fish Eagle - (1 ROOM)

Fish Eagle is the master bedroom at Lengishu. It stands alone, close to the main house and is larger than the other rooms. This is a double room.

Goshawk Room (1 ROOM)

Goshawk stands alone, slightly apart from the main house. This is a double room.

Upper Cottage - (2 ROOMS)

Upper Cottage holds Hoopoe and Sunbird. Hoopoe can be either a twin or a double and Sunbird is a double. Hoopoe and Sunbird are connected by a large, comfortable sitting room with a spacious veranda. This cottage is close to the mess area.

Lower Cottage - (2 ROOMS)

Lower cottage is home to Sunbird and Whydah rooms. Sunbird can be either a twin or a double, with direct access to a share sitting room with a large veranda. Whydah is slightly apart from the cottage, with a large open-plan bathroom and a secluded veranda. This cottage is further down the hill, away from the main house.

Days 1-3:  Arrive Nairobi, fly to Borana - 3 NIGHTS at Lengishu House
