Koyao Island Resort is located on Koh Yao Noi in the famous archipelago of Phang Nga Bay in southern Thailand. Thai-style villas are created to strike the perfect balance between nature and a bespoke, western-style luxurious standard. Our villas are an open style design and encompass the beautiful surroundings. They are made from local materials with natural palm leaf roofs, which along with the glorious sea breeze, allow for a cool and comfortable stay.
Pum Pui Restaurant uses a large variety of flavors and ingredients, we have separated the menu into five different main tastes, all of which work together to create a full Thai meal experience. A complete Thai menu would typically contain a rather spicy item, a plate with a sweet palate, a salty plate, a sour dish for refreshment, and a less spicy preparation to neutralize the palate.
At Gecko Bar, where you can enjoy light snacks, juices and creative cocktails. Overlooking the pool, gardens and beach, this is the ideal spot to take a break from the sun or to take a pre or post dinner drink.

Sea Breeze Studios are open air loft style studios, located at first floor level close to the main resort amenities. Each studio offers wonderful views of Phang Nga Bay, the gardens and the islands surrounding Koh Yao Noi.
SEA BREEZE LOFT PREMIUM
Sea Breeze Studio Premium is a loft style studio, located at first floor level with the best sea views over Phang Nga Bay. The studio has a large living space including daybed, additional sofa, etc.
BEACH VILLA
The open air Beach Villa is especially designed for couples, but has the option and ability to accommodate three guests in this luxurious resort setting.
BEACH VILLA SUITE
The Beach Villa Suites are located only footsteps away from the stretch of 220 meter own beach. They are considerably more spacious and have a large bathroom with a double bathtub.
FAMILY BEACH VILLA
The open air Family Beach Villas have been designed with families in mind. Each Villa contains 2 king sized beds providing a comfortable stay in the beautiful island of Phang-nga.
It is almost certain that, during your stay here, you will want to take a day trip to one or two of the surrounding islands. Koyao Island Resort staff can arrange a perfect day out for you. Take a look at some of the examples below – there is a larger excursion book at reception.
To start off we recommend borrowing one of the resort’s mountain or motorbikes and exploring the island. The roads are easy to navigate and the local people are more than willing to help you should you get lost. If you feel like having a more leisurely day, hire a Tuk Tuk (taxi) and driver guide and set off for a day of fun and adventure. Try Thai Cooking and traditional Kick-Boxing. Rock Climbing is big here - give it a go! To wind down, explore a private beach, do some yoga and hit the spa. Enjoy!
Diving & Snorkeling
The Dive Base on Koh Yao Island offers Padi Courses and Fun Dives with excellent new equipment and professional dive masters with many years of diving experience around Phang Nga Bay.
Koh Yao And Surroundings
Fun dives at Koh Lao Hang or Koh Deang in the morning. While refreshments are served on board, continue to Koh Hong, the most scenic island at Phan Nga. After lunch, relax and sunbathe on a deserted white sandy beach.
King Cruiser Wreck And Shark Point
Full day discovery to the most exciting dive sites at Phang Nga. King Cruiser Wreck and Shark Point with dives in the morning and afternoon.
Shark Point, is a marine sanctuary with a reef that comprises of three pinnacles. The largest of which actually breaks the surface appearing as a barren rock outcropping. The reef is home to a delightful abundance of tropical, colorful soft corals and vibrant sea fans that decorate the limestone pinnacle. The King Cruiser Wreck is a popular site just south of Koh Yao Yai, which claim remnants of a passenger ship which sunk in 1997 after it hit the Anemone reef.
Phi Phi Island Diving & Snorkeling Tour
First dives and snorkeling at Phi Phi Don in the morning, after refreshments, continue to Phi Phi Ley and Maya Bay where the movie “The Beach” was filmed.
Mountain Biking
We offer our guests free use of mountain bikes to encourage our guests to go and explore this beautiful island. We have various sizes for adults, mostly new and all well maintained. Mountain biking is an individual or group sport that enhance core strength, balance, endurance and self-reliance. Combine the natural beauty of our island with cultural charm and plenty of trails, road and off-road for beginners, or for the more ambiguous bikers with single tracks and free rides. The trips include a quality mountain bike, lunch, snacks, and water. You should bring your own helmet, glasses, riding shorts, gloves and suitable shoes. Our trips do not include insurances.
TOUR 1: ISLAND CIRCUMNAVIGATION
Difficulty: Easy, white circle - You will observe fishing villages, local shops, markets, gardens, rice fields and rubber plantations. Visiting Thakhao Bay Beach, Ban Nam Jued, Koh Yao town and Pasai beach with a total of 25km on roads.
TOUR 2: LOM LAE AND JUNGLE TREK
Difficulty: Moderately difficult, blue square - On road, passing by Pasai beach directing to Lom Lae, then on single trek crossing to Lamsai with spectacular views of Koh Nok Island. Refreshments at a local restaurant and continue on road in the direction of the Manoh Pier. Explore the forest and mangroves, to the outmost western tip of the island on a single trek.
TOUR 3: NORTHERN KOH YAO
Difficulty: Difficult, black diamond- Challenging trail through the northern part of the island with single treks and hardcore free rides. Visit the holy well and the west and the coral nature conservation on the east coast of Koh Yao.
Sea Kayaking
This kayaking day tour is the perfect way to explore the natural eco-friendly environment of Ao Thalane, known in Thai as Muddy Bay. It is a karst-walled canyon that paddlers negotiate by either entering or exiting the mangrove estuaries that make Ao Thalane so scenic and unique. Adventure kayaking in Thailand's Ao Thalane is a magical experience, best viewed slowly and in silence. At more than 300 million years old it is the oldest exposed rock in Krabi. Then on to the scenic island of Pak Bia. A part of the Hong Group of islands, renowned worldwide for their beauty and unique scenery it is nestled in the middle of Phang Nga Bay, with a pristine beach to finish the day relaxing or swimming.
The 6 hour tour includes: Boat transfers, marine park fees, English peaking guides, towels, lunch, fresh fruit, water and soft drinks.
THREE ISLANDS CANOE EXPEDITION
Ko Tapu, Ko Panak, Ko Kudu or Ko Nok (full day)
This trip will take you to three different islands for three different purposes. Firstly you will be visiting the world famous James Bond Island (Ko Tapu) where the opening scene of the 1969, Man with the Golden Gun, James Bond, movie was filmed. Secondly you will get a chance to see the inside of the limestone islands (Ko Panak). Explore the hidden world of the tidal caves and lagoons. Thousands of years old stalactites and stalagmites can be seen inside the caves. If you are lucky you might even spot some wild monkeys around the island. Finally after sightseeing and canoeing through the tunnels, we will bring you to the deserted island of Ko Kudu or Ko Nok for your picnic lunch and a swim off the beach.
Recommended departure time for this trip is 6.00am to avoid crowds on James Bond Island and Canoe traffic jams in Ko Panak.
