Dunia Camp
Dunia Camp embraces the philosophy of leaving the lightest possible footprint on the earth. Weathered wood, sturdy canvas and elegant linens make the mess tent comfortable and atmospheric, while brass hurricane lanterns add a flicker of traditional charm. Settle into one of the old leather armchairs and watch as the sun drops behind the iconic granite outcrops before you sit down to dinner in the beautiful mess tent or outdoors under the stars.
Dunia is a tranquil semi-permanent camp with just eight spacious tented suites, each with expansive views of the pristine wilderness and game-filled plains from a private veranda. Attention to every detail balances a graceful simplicity in harmony with the serene location. Enjoy an exclusive Serengeti safari with superb sightings of resident game and annual migration viewing, and round it all off with a sunrise hot-air balloon flight.
Guest Tent (7 rooms)
Dunia Camp has seven large, luxurious raised guest tents with fantastic views from the veranda where morning coffee can be enjoyed. The tents have the option of being twins or doubles. There is a triple room available on request. The tents all feature king-sized beds, and en suite bathrooms with flushable toilet and plumbed shower.
Family Tent (1 room)
The family tent consists of a main room with a king-sized bed and a separate, smaller room with two single beds. Each room has an en suite with a flushable toilet and plumbed shower. They share a large veranda with views out towards the kopjes.
Game drives
Wildlife viewing and bird watching game drives within the central Serengeti are offered twice per day. Experienced guides encourage guests to see and experience the Serengeti through their eyes, sharing a world of small and large wonders that only they truly know and understand.
Hot air ballooning
Balloon safaris are a romantic and iconic way of experiencing the wilderness of East Africa, as you fly silently over the plains teeming with herds of wildlife in the early morning. Typically, a balloon safari begins around 6 am and lasts for around 1-2 hours. Balloon safaris (additional cost) in the Serengeti take off from designated sites in the nearby Seronera area. The safari is followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush, a fitting end to a memorable flight over the wild.
Family safaris
Dunia welcomes children from 5 years of age and older. We guarantee a private safari vehicle to families of 4 or more during the low season, but during high season families with children under 12 are obliged to use a private game-viewing vehicle at extra cost. Our bush guides have a wealth of insightful experience and they will captivate you and your children with bush-wise facts, wildlife know-how, games, local customs, and incredible stories of life in the wilderness.
