Ventus Australis
Launched in 2017, the Ventas Australis, is a bit newer than her sister ship, the Stella Australis. She also takes a maximum of 200 guests to explore the wonders of Patagonia on an unforgettable trip exploring Cabo de Hornos, Patagonia, and Tierra del Fuego from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia. This luxury expedition cruise company navigates the fjords and canals of Tierra del Fuego in the Chilean-Argentine Patagonia. Since 1990 they have taken passengers of different nationalities to explore one of the most beautiful and remote regions of the world featuring expert guides and expeditions by Zodiac. Aware that navigating such a pristine ecosystem is a privilege, they conduct their operations in a sustainable manner to preserve the environment as unexplored and as natural as when they started their exploration routes almost 30 years ago.
From September to April of each year, the Stella and Ventus Australis boats cover 4-night routes between the southern cities of Punta Arenas in Chile, and Ushuaia in Argentina discovering landmarks of the Patagonian landscape, such as the Beagle Channel and Cape Horn.
The on-board system is all-inclusive with top-notch cuisine, open bar and an expedition program run by expert guides trained in glaciology and the Natural History of the Magallanes Region and the Chilean Antarctic.
For their exceptional service on board and recognized trajectory, they have received important awards such as the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards and the Cruiser's Choice Awards, in the best small cruise category in South America.
Designed to navigate the Patagonian fjords, the Ventus and Stella Australis cruises can travel through the most remote corners of Tierra del Fuego and reach where larger vessels cannot. The two boats have only 100 cabins all with exterior windows and comfortable common rooms.
