Turks & Caicos Aggressor II

Turks and Caicos Aggressor II is a 120-foot yacht with room for maximum of 18 guests. There is one plush master cabin with a queen bed, five deluxe cabins with a double and a single berth, two twin cabins with two single berths and a quad cabin with four single berths. All cabins – except the two twin cabins which share a bathroom – have private bathrooms. Cabins are equipped with hair dryers, closets and flat screen TVs with DVD players, except the quad cabin which does not have a DVD player.

The dive deck has personal gear lockers with in-place air and Nitrox fill stations, rinse tanks and a camera table with low-pressure air hoses. The large swim platform has two warm freshwater showers and two water exit ladders. For relaxing between dives, the partially covered sundeck features a wet bar, CD equipment and a hot tub. Inside, the lounge has plenty of room to stretch and watch movies, listen to music and work with your digital photography. Also onboard are a computer station with email access and two skiffs for shore excursions.
 

Getting There, Passports & Visa Documentation

The Turks & Caicos islands are a British territory and located 575 miles southeast of Miami, Florida, just below the Bahamas chain and just to the east of Cuba and is island of Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti). The major airlines that service Providenciales (PLS) International Airport are: American, Delta, Spirit, Jet Blue and US Airways.

Visitors must have a current passport, adequate funds to support themselves, and a return airline ticket. US citizens require a passport that must be valid for 6 months from date of entry. It is the travelers’ responsibility to ensure they have the proper visa to travel into each country on his or her itinerary as well as for re-entry and return to their country. Since regulations vary by country, contact your consulate or embassy of your country for the requirement

Arrival / Boarding / Departure for The TURKS & CAICOS AGGRESSOR II offers 6, 7 and 10 night trips.

Guests will be met by a crew member in uniform at the Providenciales (PLS) International Airport and transferred to the yacht. Guests may board Saturday between 3 pm - 6 pm. At 6 pm the yacht departs for its night anchorage to prepare for diving Sunday morning. After a full week of diving, the yacht returns to Turtle Cove Marina Friday after lunch. Friday evening the yacht hosts a sunset cocktail party. Turtle Cove Marina has several restaurants where guests can eat. Friday night dinner is not included in the price of the charter. Check-out is Saturday morning at 8 am. Transportation is provided back to the airport Saturday morning.

Local Fees/Taxes

Port fees for 7-nights is $110 and $158 for 10-nights. All fees are paid onboard at the end of the charter. Transfers are included in the charter price. Taxes and fees paid onboard the yacht are subject to change without notice.

Top Dive Sites

French Cay - Double D

Simply the Garden of Eden. The wall is overgrown and there is an abundance of marine life. There are two huge coral mounds teeming with fish. A resident spotted scorpion fish often poses for photographers. Spotted Eagle Rays are often seen here.

French Cay - G-Spot

An absolutely beautiful wall with many huge deep water gorgonians and orange elephant ear sponges growing at the wall’s edge.

French Cay - Rock and Roll

The top of the wall is at 40 feet. Plenty of barrel sponges, elkhorn and pillar coral. Juvenile barracuda and lobsters spotted during the day. This a great afternoon and night dive.

French Cay - West Sand Spit

(5 miles south of French Cay) The wall starts at 40 feet and it is covered with huge coral formations—pillar corals, barrel sponges and deep water gorgonians. Look for nurse sharks, French angels, ocean triggerfish and huge stingrays. This site is weather permitting.

Northwest Point - Black Coral Forest

The walls starts at 45 feet and drops to below 300 feet. There is an overhang in which at least 5 species of black coral are growing. The base of the overhang is at 75 feet.

Northwest Point - Shark Hotel

Named for the Caribbean Reef Sharks sometimes seen cruising the wall. The wall levels of at 90 feet in a plateau covered with plate corals. At 100 feet, a chimney cuts through the reef exiting at 130 feet on the deep wall. Lots of pillar coral on top of the wall.

Northwest Point - The Crack

The wall doglegs to the south forming a huge penny slot crack which divers can swim and exit at any time. A massive barrel sponge with an anemone above it is at 85 feet. Swim to the south where you may encounter schooling fish and a resident turtle.

Northwest Point - The Dome

Once the site of a French television game show, this sunken dome offers a spectacular night dive.

West Caicos - Driveway

One of the most diverse dive sites along West Caicos. The boat is moored in 35 feet of water offering the options of swimming to the wall over the Driveway, a large sand chute, or cruise on top of the wall in shallower water where there are many interesting isolated coral heads. There are anemones growing in only 5-10 feet of water.

West Caicos - Gullies

Swim through a penny slot gully which starts at 45 feet and ends at 75 feet. Beautiful sponge formations at the edge of the wall and schooling fish on top of the wall.

West Caicos - Rock Garden Interlude

The wall is divided into sections with large and beautiful sponge formations. Encounter friendly turtles and spotted scorpion fish. The sand flat on top of the wall has several nice coral heads and garden eels.

West Caicos - The Anchor/Whiteface

Called Whiteface for the white sandy cliffs along West Caicos. Swim through a gully with a 17th Century anchor wedged in the north side of the gully. A beautiful, large white anemone sits at about 95 feet at the base of the gully. Keep an eye out for the resident reef shark who is not camera shy. Great night dive with lobsters, octopus and nurse sharks.

Silver Bank Humpback Whale Adventures

Dominican Republic Humpback Whale Snorkel Adventures - The beautiful TURKS & CAICOS AGGRESSOR II™ offers an exciting itinerary from January - April to the Dominican Republic to snorkel with Humpback Whales at the Silver Bank. This area, twenty square miles in size, is located north of the Dominican Republic and approximately the same distance from the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Designated as a Marine Sanctuary, the Silver Bank provides a safe wintering haven for the entire North Atlantic Humpback Whale population who gather here from January through April by the thousands to court, mate, calve, and rear their young. Humpback whales find the area ideal for mating and giving birth. The banks offer safety and protection to females and their calves until the young are strong enough to make the trip back to the North Eastern U.S. coast. This sanctuary, also known as the “Sanctuary for the Marine Mammals of the Dominican Republic” is one of three places in the world where humans can swim and snorkel among the whales.

During the week, guests of our Dominican Republic Humpback Whale Watching itinerary will observe the whales at close range which includes above the water and soft in water encounters. You'll see them spin and play, hear their haunting songs resonating through the water and sense the power and grace of some of the most intelligent mammals on earth - it’s a life-changing experience! All whale charters depart from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

SAMPLE ITINERARY:

SATURDAY: Boarding is at 4 p.m. with a 9:30pm departure to Silver Bank.

SUNDAY: Arrival in Silver Bank is around 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Sunday, weather permitting. Brunch/late breakfast while crew prepares mooring and assembly of the tenders. The first tender runs begins at 2:00 p.m. (2 tenders running). Afternoon tenders return to the yacht at approximately 5:00 p.m.

MONDAY -THURSDAY: First tender runs will commence after breakfast at 8:30 am. Whale runs are throughout the day. “Sundowner” cocktail parties are hosted on the sun deck every afternoon following whale runs. Nightly presentations and videos will be after dinner.

FRIDAY:The yacht returns to the Ocean World Marina in Puerto Plata late Friday afternoon. Friday night, dinner is not served onboard; however, the crew will recommend a restaurant in the marina.
