Six Senses Laamu

Linyanti Tented Camp is an intimate and wonderfully private safari-adventure camp for families and small sole-use groups. It is set within an important elephant corridor, with access to floodplains, open dry-land savannah, lagoons and woodland. Thrilling plains game and predators including lions, wild dogs, leopards, and hyenas await. The camp evokes the spirit of a true African safari in the wild and remote Linyanti Wildlife Reserve.

Set on the iconic Linyanti Marsh, Wilderness Linyanti Tented Camp is perfectly positioned for exploring the extraordinary Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. Unrivaled in its remoteness and sense of space, the reserve is bordered by two legendary watercourses – the Linyanti River to the north, and the sporadic and unusual Savuti Channel, to the south.

The camp offers easy access to a combination of rich habitats, ranging from floodplains to open dryland savannah, woodlands, and lagoons – all magnets for big game and birdlife, which guests can encounter on thrilling day and night game drives, and guided nature walks.

Remote, exclusive and authentic, the camp delivers action-packed adventures. Guests can encounter huge numbers of buffalo and elephant herds all along the channels.  Track predators on the prowl on game drives, and learn more about the wildlife on a guided nature walk with knowledgeable guides. Back in camp, guests can soak in the views from the pool deck, or spy wildlife from the tucked-away log-pile hide.

As evening sets in, the crackling campfire on the soft sands of the riverbank is the ideal spot for a family or small group to reminisce over this exclusive and unmatched safari experience.

Wilderness Linyanti Tented Camp's aim is to extend the positive effects of conservation tourism into more remote areas. It supports several research projects to ensure the continued protection of the area's pristine wilderness, home to some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife. (ABC)

Standard Twin/Double Tent(s)

(8 ROOMS)

The camp sits on the banks of the Linyanti River, tucked under tall riverine trees. It comprises two small satellite camps (East and West), each of which has four large, airy en-suite explorer-style tents. Its eight spacious, airy en-suite tents hark back to the time of the early explorers. Built on a slightly raised deck, the camp’s main area offers striking views of the wildlife, and is ideal for quiet relaxation. Guests can savor a delicious Botswana feast, cooked on an open flame and served under the African stars in the popular boma dining area, while listening to the marsh’s night sounds come alive. Guests will marvel at the seamless interconnectedness between river, land and wildlife in the camp.

Exceptional game viewing awaits all who visit this untouched tract of wilderness, famous for its huge elephant concentrations, when herds congregate along the waterways during the dry winter months. Other fascinating wildlife includes specials such as rare roan and sable antelope, waterbuck, and the predators that follow – lions, leopards, African wild dogs, and spotted hyenas.

Game Drives

Morning and afternoon game drives offer the chance to witness compelling interactions being played out in the wild. Wildlife includes the rare roan and sable antelope, while plains game are prevalent and of course their predators, including lions, leopards and hyaenas – with the endangered African wild dog as an incredible bonus. Excellent birding.

Night Drives

Explore after dark with spotlights allowing you to find some of the less familiar species which are not active during the day. Perhaps lesser bushbabies, large spotted genets, aardwolf or serval.

Guided Nature Walks *

Learn about tracks and signs, fruits and roots on a guided walking safari. A bush walk is a wonderful way of being close to nature, and gaining insights on the smaller fauna and local flora * Weather permitting and subject to the availability of a qualified walking guide.

Log-Pile Hide

The log-pile hide, a short drive from camp, lets you watch the wildlife "rush hour" – especially in the dry season when large numbers of elephant move through the area.
