The Seychelles is undeniably one of the world's most beautiful tropical island destinations, often visited by the rich and famous. There are 115 islands to explore spread over 1 million km2 of the Western Indian Ocean, and accessible throughout the year and cyclone or hurricane free. So getaway from it all, and explore these crystal clear waters, and their islands, on your own exclusive boat with your own guide.The fleet consists of 6 luxury sailing yachts between 38 and 60’. The safaris are exclusive and connect you to these beautiful and rich waters while sailing, snorkeling, diving, birding, watching turtles nest and hatchlings go to sea, learning about shark conservation, fishing or just being. Get immersed, watch the dolphin, sharks, rays, coral fish, turtles and endemic birds in their thousands, enjoy the food, explore the forests and islands at your own convenience, and watch the stress of life drift away. All of our safaris are conservation and education focused. By joining this safari you are directly contributing to the support of a number of on the ground turtle, bird and marine research, protection and conservation projects and organizations
Inner Islands – 5 nights
Day 1: Arrival – Mahe - Arrive onto your boat, spend the night off one of the many beautiful beaches of Mahe. Swim and snorkel in the warm waters, walk the beach, sundowners on deck and supper under the stars. Enjoy the first night on your own boat
Day 2: Praslin - Early morning start, so after a quick swim/snorkel, pull up the anchor and set sail for Praslin,, anchor off Round ilsand/Anse La Blague or a location that works depending on the wind. Arrive for lunch (it’s a 4-5 hour sail), cool off and then head to the main island for a visit to the Valle De Mai Nature Reserve. Return to the boat for sundowners and a walk on the beach before a delicious meal on board.
Day 3: La Digue – After a bit of morning activity – snorkel, swim, walk – set sail to La Digue and breakfast as you go. Head to the island, rent a bike to explore the stunning architecture and landscape and coconut plantation. Hike over to Grande Anse and meet the boat there. For the divers, diving can be arranged at either Anse Union, Anse La Reunion, Anse Severiere or Anse Gaulettes. Night off one of the many beautiful but protected beaches.
Day 4: Felicite or Coco Islands – Early morning snorkel, or yoga. Once anchor is up, enjoy a delicious breakfast, throw out a line for fish and sail to Felicite or Coco islands. Whilst avoiding the crowds, find a spot to anchor with easy access and swim with the turtles known to hang out in these locations. Find a beautiful safe beach to anchor off, and enjoy your last night on board.
Day 5: Aride island – Very early departure for Aride, for arrival before 8.30 am. Prepare for pickup by the Aride conservation team for between 9 – 9.30 am. Head to the island in the islands boat for a tour of the island with its 1000s of birds, 100 of skinks, a few Aldabra tortoises and turtle nesting sites.. Lunch back on the boat, have an hour snorkel and look for the resident white tip reef shark, hawksbill turtles, devil and eagle rays and bumphead parrot fish. Evening sail back to Praslin for the night, if the water is not calm enough.
Day 6: Last day – home: Set sail after a bit of early morning activity, head back to Mahe, but en route stop off at Cousin Island to see the birds and turtle conservation in action. Leave your mobile home on the sea and head back home or onto you next adventure. Anything is possible – so the above can be altered to include Bird island, and fly back to Mahe .
Outer Islands - 7 nightsThe Outer Islands of the Seychelles comprise 72 remote coral islands and atolls, known for their raw, untouched, rich marine life, pristine beaches and extraordinary species. The islands unparalleled biodiversity with over 350 coral reef fish species and 320 coral species, home to 180 species of birds with 9 important bird areas, together with its azure blue waters, turtle breeding grounds, idyllic beaches, Aldabra World Heritage Site, excellent fly fishing, make this the ultimate exclusive sea safari in the Indian Ocean. The Amirantes safari is recommended as a starter outer island safari. Amirante Islands (Desroches, D’arros and 5 single sand cays); lie south-west of the extensive, shallow-water Seychelles Bank. Turtles, sharks, rays, birdlife and luxury are at the core of this sea safari, whether on a boat or a hand selected lodge. This safari needs minimum of a week/7days, and is best between the months of October and March – and if you are lucky you could end up snorkeling with billfsh
For the more adventurous, safaris can be organized to the more remote archipelagos including the Alphonse group (Alphonse Atoll and St Francois Atoll); Aldabra group (Aldabra atoll, Assumption Island, Cosmoledo Atoll and Astove island) and Farquhar Group (Farquhar Atoll, Providence Atoll and St Pierre island).
