However, if you feel like an evening in, relax in the privacy of your villa and enjoy the sunset views of Lake Wakatipu. Choose your choice of cuisine from the varied menus provided by the local restaurants and we will do the rest. Your meals will be elegantly plated and presented by candlelight – perhaps complemented with a bottle of fine New Zealand wine.
Azur’s nine private one-bedroom villas were designed to let you absorb the incredible views in chic luxury and total privacy. The floor to ceiling windows from the unobstructed views. Each identical luxury one-bedroom villa is 79 sqm of open plan living in the midst of the New Zealand natural environment. Incorporating a lounge, dining area, a private sun deck with a choice of either a king or twin beds dressed with luxury linen to promise an exceptional sleep experience.

BUNGY JUMPING
Queenstown is the home of the original AJ Hackett Bungy Jump. Choose to visit their original site at Karawau River to jump 43m from the historical Karawau Bridge or if you are feeling brave head to The Nevis Valley and jump from the suspended platform 134m above the canyon – New Zealand highest bungy.
SKY DIVING
Imagine the scenery of Queenstown or Glenorchy as your parachute opens and you are gliding towards ground. If you are a first time jumper what better place in the world to try.
CANYONING
Embrace the surroundings of a natural high walled canyon whilst descending down through the narrow walls, plunging into pools, swimming through narrow passages. An ultimate water adventure.

Some of the most scenic courses in the world are found in our hometown, including Millbrook Resort one of New Zealand’s finest resort courses, Queenstown Golf Club, set upon the shores of Lake Wakatipu, Arrowtown Golf Course, alive with local history and character, The Hills, home to the NZ Open and arguably the finest course in New Zealand and Jacks Point Golf course, designed to work with nature encountering wetlands, steep bluffs, indigenous vegetation and wildlife.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Enjoy the harmony and tranquility of New Zealand on horseback. Reliable, friendly horses and their guides will take you trekking through amazing scenery, cross clear fresh rivers and if you are a movie fan, you will enjoy riding through filming locations from The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit.

FLIGHTSEEING
As we are located in an area where the scenery is most extraordinary, we do recommend a scenic flight for guests to really appreciate the incredible beauty. Many different trips are available, however the most popular trip is to Milford Sound, including a glacier landing. Trips can be taken by either helicopter or small aeroplane.
EARNSLAW CRUISES & FARM TOURS
Aboard the iconic vintage steamship the TSS Earnslaw you will experience more than a cruise on the lake, it is a trip back in time. From the vantage point of the lake you will take in the breathtaking views. You can also choose to visit Walter Peak Country Farm, at the end of the lake and have a guided tour, horse trek, BBQ lunch or dinner.
4WD
If you would like to get off the beaten path, you may need a 4WD and a driver. There are many options to explore one being Skipper’s Canyon Road, which was carved by hand by miners over 140 years ago and now forms a very narrow cut in the middle of a sheer cliff face. The canyon was formed by glaciers approximately 25,000 years ago and at one time was the richest gold bearing river in the world However, we do suggest exploring with a private guide or as part of an organised tour.

WINERY VISITS AND LONG LUNCHES
Queenstown and nearby Gibbston Valley is home to over 75 wineries producing a wide range of wine varieties. Our area is especially known for its Pinot Noir. Many of these wineries are open for cellar door tasting and many have excellent restaurants on site.
